JP Toys Back at Blokker!!!

A while ago, Dutch and Belgian Blokker stores were the place to be for Jurassic Park enthusiasts. Well, i guess we should all check them again, because i've made a great discovery at a store near me. Yesterday i was in town and i thought i'd hop by the nearest Blokker. At first glance all they had was TLW Ian Malcolm's and a few Chaos Effect Dinosaurs (also worth a visit if you like these abominations). There was however one blister on top of some Star Wars. I was just about to walk away when i got the urge to look at it. I got a big shock, because what i picked up was a The Lost World series 2 Baryonyx!!! To my knowledge, this is the first ever TLW series 2 sighting in a regular store in The Netherlands since 1997. Now the best part is, that it was just €3.99!!! To proof this i took the two pics seen below.

I have no idea if more series 2 will be showing up soon, but here's hoping. If you make a discovery at a store near you, let us know! In case you happen to stumble upon a series 2 Ornithosuchus or Nick van Owen, don't hesitate to get one for me! Happy hunting!!!

"I still have one more Jurassic Park to do - Jurassic Park 4 - but after that I'm done". Looks like one of our favourite characters will be back for sure.
Dutch JP3 TV premiere

The third installment of the JP saga, will be airing for the first time on Dutch television this coming Monday. SBS6 will be the channel to tune into from 20:30 - 22.30 tomorrow evening. Last week they showed the first Jurassic Park and had a competition running to win a complete set of all three movies on DVD, so even if you saw each film over a dozen times, hit the remote and tune in. If you already have the complete set on DVD, well i guess there's not much for you to gain, except for a large bill for sending all those SMS messages?

According to the Billings Gazette, Jack Horner revealed a tidbit about the
upcoming JP4. In an interview/chat
with a group of kids in Montana, Horner mentioned that he is, yet again, working
with Spielberg as a consultant for a Jurassic Park movie (inaccurate Dinosaurs
anyone?). One of his comments was
"If you like Velociraptors, you will love Jurassic Park 4", suggesting
that the creatures will play a very moderate or big part in the movie. Thx to

So much for that rumour. No Keira in the Jurassic Park universe for now (pity).

Pterosaur named after Spielberg

The museum Naturalis in Leiden, The Netherlands, made a discovery recently
about one of their specimens on display. The ancient flying reptile Coloborhynchus
robustus, that's on display in their collection, received a thorough
examination from paleontologist André Veldmeijer. After he had finished
his work and wrote a 100 page counting report, it was concluded, that the animal
was different than any of the other known species known to science. Countless
differences including the overall shape of the animal's chest, were enough reason
to grant this creature a new name. Dr. Veldmeijer chose to name this creature
after Steven Spielberg, since the Jurassic Park movies brought massive public
attention to the profession. Coloborhynchus spielbergi is now back
on display at the museum in Utrecht. To read the official article (in Dutch),
please click here.

JP 10th Anniversary!!!

Exactly 10 years ago, something happened, that would change all of our lives
forever. On the 11th of June 1993, Jurassic Park hit the big screen and unleashed
a whole Dinomania all round the globe. I can still remember when i first saw
JP and man, was i excited!!! Of course, since i live in The Netherlands, i didn't
see it on the same day most of the world did. In fact, it wasn't even in the
same month. I had to wait till September. The most thrilling scenes for me were
when the T. rex broke loose and you saw him in full glory and the Raptor chase
in the Visitor's Center. The movie really grabbed me and in particular the Raptor
aiming for Lex, since my foot was pulled back as a reflection to the creature
leaping from the screen. Add the merchandising and you have heaven for Dinonuts.
Toys, books, comics, clothing, games etc. Ah....those were the days. I hope
you have a great day and please take the time to relive your experience when
you saw Jurassic Park for the first time. If you plan on hanging around here
for a while, you'll be happy to know that all the advanced toy pages are up!!!
Check it out and please keep checking back regularly, since these pages will
be updated with new info as often as possible. The Collector Cards page is also
up, but still requires a lot of work. The Downloads page plus several sweet
give-aways are coming very soon!!!

Hello folks! How was your weekend? Hope you had a blast. Mine hasn't been
that good since i caught a cold, a nasty one too. Anyway, enough with my troubles.
I have some very sweet news for all of you. Tomorrow, on JP's 10th anniversary,
our advanced toy pages will be online!!! This means more info, more pics, sounds
and vidfiles!!! Hopefully i'll be ok in the morning, so i can snap up a few
more pics to add, but otherwise we'll be sure to add more detailed (loose) pics
next weekend of each and every toy. I have a picture here
right now to show you what to expect. Each of the toys in our database will
have several packaged and loose shots. The loose shots will be made inside and
a few outside in small diorama's. That's around 8-12 pics per item! Add to that
there'll also sounds available for every electronic toy and possibly a manual
or a videoclip, so you'll have enough to look out for. You can also expect to
see all new packaged pics made in a semi-professional setup coming later this
month, replacing all the pics that are up now. Since the camera we have now
is better than the one we used for the last shoot, more detail will be shown
on the new photographs. Last but certainly not least, we also have some cool
give-aways and the downloads page (wallpapers, sticker sheets, screensavers,
trailers etc) coming this month to celebrate JP's anniversary!!! Stay tuned!!!
